Tunnel closure update – overnight closures 17th June

We have been informed that there will be temporary overnight closures of Great Charles Street Queensway and part of Newhall Street from 17th June for a period of four nights for carriageway resurfacing work.

During these times, vehicles will not be able to proceed in either direction along:

•           A4400 Great Charles Street Queensway (Northbound), between its junctions with Paradise Circus Queensway / Summer Row and Ludgate Hill.

•           A4400 Great Charles Street Queensway (Southbound), between its junctions with Church Street and Margaret Street.

•           Newhall Street, between its junctions with Cornwall Street and Lionel Street.

The diversion route for vehicles affected by the closure will be signed via Fleet Street, Newhall Street, Lionel Street and Ludgate Hill for northbound traffic, and Livery Street, Cornwall Street and Margaret Street for southbound traffic.

A38 Tunnel Closures
May we please remind you that overnight closures of the St Chads and Queensway tunnels (from 10pm to 6am) will start on 21st June for a period of four weeks, leading to the complete closure of the tunnels to all traffic from 19th July to 2nd September. There will be a further two weeks of overnight tunnel closures after 2nd September.
