For a no-fuss event head to The Rose Villa Tavern for their Northern Soul Night with 2 for £8 on cocktails and a Bellini menu to keep you buzzing all night. It’s free entry and table/area bookings are available. See their website for details.
Get yourself down to 1000 Trades for their traditional Sunday roast on Sunday 31 December followed by DJ Stig in I don’t know what it is, but it sure is funky from 3 – 6 pm.
The main New Year’s Eve party is kicking off at 7 pm until 2 am with NEW HAM: A Night of Incredible 80s with DJs Rob J (Bam Bam/Dropout Boogie), Stuart Robinson (Great Outdoors) and Jon Harris (Pigeonhole). Simply Soul New Year’s Eve Special at Fredericks. DJ Unknown is bringing some Old Skool RnB, Soul and Reggae to ring in the New Year alongside a strict dress code. Tickets are £10 in advance or £15 on the door. See their website for details.
Not content with one New Year’s Eve party the Button Factory have two special events. The first is the NYE Bottomless Feast with a 3-course menu and bottomless prosecco for only £40 per person! Find out more on their Facebook events page.
The second event is the NYE Bottomless Bingo which features two hours of comedy bingo and unlimited fizz for £40 (early bird) or £50 (standard). The evening will be accompanied by DJ Mikey D’ playing a mix of funk, disco and soul classics. See the Facebook event page for more details.
For an unforgettable rooftop experience head to Saint Pauls House and their heated terrace with a dedicated cocktail bar and live music. Enjoy a meal in the restaurant beforehand or join the team in raising their glasses at midnight to welcome 2018 in style. Open until 2 am with free entry for all.
