Shaken Not Stirred

The new variety show Shaken Not Stirred (written and performed by a small group of Parkinson’s sufferers and supporters) is raising awareness of Parkinson’s through comedy theatre and music.Janet Shipton was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2018 and formed a theatre group “Parky Players” during lockdown to raise awareness of the misunderstood condition. They’ve gone from creating an award-winning online pantomime to developing it into a UK tour and 3 performances at Edinburgh Fringe 2022. Since then they’ve won the 2023 world Parkinson’s Congress song competition and performed (the song they wrote) in Barcelona in front of 2000 people.
