JQ Townscape Heritage Project Seeks Two Key Positions

HERITAGE/CONSERVATION: TWO KEY POSTS IN MANAGING BIRMINGHAM JEWELLERY QUARTER’S TOWNSCAPE HERITAGE PROJECT

Subject to Heritage Lottery funding, the Jewellery Quarter Development Trust is seeking to appoint to two posts, based in the JQ, to lead implementation of the second stage of its exciting Townscape Heritage scheme.

Having received HLF First Stage funding to develop the project around key historic

buildings in this unique manufacturing district, the JQDT now hopes to proceed shortly to the Second Stage implementation programme. While this is subject to HLF decision, suitably experienced persons are invited to apply for either of the posts below:

CAPITAL WORKS PROGRAMME MANAGER (interviews Wednesday morning October 21st 2015 in Birmingham). Role: to project manage the JQTH capital and revenue programmes working with local partner organisations. 

Salary: £50,000 p.a. pro rata P/T 2days p.w. equivalent = £20,000 pa from January 2016 (provisional date) on a 3 year fixed term contract. Employed status, secondment or freelance consultancy possible, but if not directly employed fee will be inclusive of VAT should this apply to the applicant.

ACTIVITIES MANAGER (interviews Friday morning October 23rd in Birmingham)

Salary : £30,000 per annum pro rata, 3 days p.w. from January 2016 (provisional date).

Role: running a programme of public engagement activities alongside the capital works, managing volunteers, freelance professionals, leading on research/interpretation/audience development; managing the Activity Plan budget in close liaison with the CWP Manager. 

3 year fixed term contract. Employed status, secondment or freelance consultancy possible, but if not directly employed, fee will be inclusive of VAT should this apply to the applicant.
