Jewellery Quarter based agency celebrates Creative and Digital Agency of the year award

Following a year of doubling growth and an exciting rebrand, vbx, a communications agency specialising in creative digital, content and events based in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, has won the Creative and Digital Agency of the Year accolade for City of Birmingham Business Awards.

The win announced at the awards ceremony, held at Park Regis Hotel, and hosted by Downtown in Business Birmingham, on 19th October was testament to the innovative creative and digital work vbx has developed in the past year across branding, creative, social media and website development. Voted for by clients and peers it shows the prowess of the talent within the agency.

The announcement follows vbx’s several new business wins during, including Elis, Puig, Coty, Hydrogen Innovation Initiative and Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult. These clients join vbx’s growing roster of companies that trust them to deliver innovative and impactful solutions for their content, digital and event needs.

The restructure from Voiceboxx Communications Limited to vbx Group has doubled the business to a £4m company with an exciting rebrand that has elevated vbx attracting new digital and content talent from agencies including Eastside Co, Caters Media Group and Redeye.

The appointment of the new senior leadership team supports vbx Group’s goal to drive growth in the creative, digital, content, and events space, and is comprised of industry veterans with a wealth of experience in their respective fields.

Group Director Jessica Hobday has worked in the events industry throughout her career and is the MI&T Tomorrow’s Talent 2023 Winner. Executive Director, Hannah Pearson, heads up the marketing agency division and brings over 18 years of experience at agencies ranging from a local start-up PR business to a globally acclaimed creative agency. Leading the Events arm of vbx’s new leadership team is Ian Brown, who manages vbx’s full-service events offering and ensures that the company delivers exceptional and memorable experiences from venue finding and planning to execution, which has already landed them contracts with some global brands in the process.

In the same week, vbx hosted an inspirational networking event for Midlands’ businesses in celebration of Birmingham Tech Week – another demonstration of the agency’s offering in digital and events. More networking events will be hosted throughout 2024 as vbx share their expertise with local businesses.
