Collectible Postcards Featuring Local Artists

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Find out all about the exciting JQ Neighbourhood Plan, their collectable postcards in this Guest Blog by Nicola Fleet-Milne who is CEO of FleetMilne Property, Co-Chair of JQ Neighbourhood Plan and Chair of Colmore Business District.

There are 10 limited edition postcards to collect, with local artists’ photographs and drawings on the front, and details about the Neighbourhood Plan on the back. What’s a Neighbourhood Plan? We’re glad you asked.

It’s a planning document, written by the community, for the community. We seek to improve the landscape of the JQ and you can play your part by reading our Plain English version (8 pages, not long) and supporting us with detailed comments or a simple ‘I support this’ (or otherwise).

We are currently in the first public consultation phase (Reg 14, officially) and once this ends on 25th September, we will read through all of your comments and incorporate anything we think is missing, make tweaks, amends, additions, subtractions. Like we said, it’s by the community, for the community.

To have a look and see what all the fuss is about, please head to www.bit.ly/jqplan where you will find four documents. The first one, the Plain English version, is the easiest to read, but if you love the technical jargon, please check out the formal planning version. For those interested in how we see Design progressing in and supporting the area, please click on the Design in The Jewellery Quarter document. Thank you all in advance of your support.
