Perry Beeches II hosts successful career day

Year nine students from Perry Beeches II – The Free School, got the opportunity to ask some of Birmingham’s leading professionals about the key to their success on Career Day this week.
The students, who are aged between 14 and 15-years-old, will be putting the advice to good use as they lead up to their GCSE examinations in a couple of years time. Now is an crucial time for students to weigh up their career options and set themselves realistic goals for the near-future.
Some of Birmingham’s leading business owners and professionals, including a few familiar faces from the Jewellery Quarter, took part in a carousal style workshop where each student was given the chance to ask them about their job roles and what led them to their success and career paths.
The diverse students of the Jewellery Quarter-based school expressed an interest in pursuing a variety of occupations. The Career Day was a chance to provide the eager teenagers with industry knowledge and advice to assist them in making informed choices about employment and further education in the future.
