Reading Time: < 1 minute

The fun continues in the Jewellery Quarter this summer beyond the JQ Festival (20 – 22 July) with jazz performances throughout the Quarter, delivered by the Birmingham, Solihull & Sandwell Jazz Festival (20 – 29 July).

Now in its 34th year, the event is including Sandwell for the first time. With a total of 233 performances in 114 venues, there’s sure to be one that suits you! Whats more 198 of them are free to attend.

Here in the JQ, the JQBID is sponsoring the acts performing on the Victorian bandstand in St Paul’s Square:

  • Alan Barnes Quartet, Thursday 26th July – 12pm
  • The Shuffle Demons, Friday 27th July –  12pm
  • Kim Cypher Quartet, Friday – 5pm

Luke Crane, JQDT Executive Director comments: “We’re excited to part of an event that is one of the region’s longest running music events. The lunch-time jazz is a perfect excuse to leave the office and enjoy the beautiful St Paul’s Square.”

Throughout the week, venues in the JQ are playing host to a range of international jazz artists; 1000 Trades, Lord Clifden, The Jam House  and The Gunmakers Arms

The full programme is available on the Birmingham, Solihull and Sandwell Jazz Festival website.
