Blue Orange Arts Ltd the resident charity at the Blue Orange Theatre on Great Hampton Street are very excited to have been awarded funding from Awards for All – Big Lottery Fund to deliver their upcoming project ‘Click and Play’.
The project will provide adults with experience of mental health issues living in Birmingham the opportunity to develop their photography skills in a series of creative workshops, culminating in a photography exhibition at the Blue Orange Theatre.
The project has been funded by Awards for All – Big Lottery Fund. The Big Lottery Fund is the largest distributor of National Lottery good cause funding across the UK. The Fund aims to enable others to make real improvements to communities and the lives of people most in need.
Holly Phillips, from Blue Orange Arts, said: “We are thrilled to have secured funding from Awards for All, as it enables us to deliver a project that empowers people in the local community and highlight their artistic talent.”
The project will run from Tuesday 18th June until Thursday 18th July. Participants will not only photograph areas of Birmingham that inspire them for the exhibition but also take part in drama based workshops to further develop their artistic skills.
