Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter will officially usher in the holiday season with its beloved Christmas Light Switch-On event tonight! Starting at 5PM the Quarter will be transformed into a festive wonderland adorned with more than 100 custom-designed lights, two massive 30-foot Christmas trees, and the city’s largest holiday light feature – a dazzling, 3-meter illuminated Christmas bauble.

This year’s event promises a lively mix of live music, food, and seasonal drinks from popular local spots like Rose Villa Tavern, Lunchi, and Urban. For those with a taste for plant-based eats, Notty Bites will offer fusion dishes to savour while soaking in the festive ambiance. At 6PM, a spectacular firework display will light up the sky, adding an extra sparkle to the evening. In true local spirit, Marc Silk, a voice actor known for Shaggy and Scooby-doo, Pingu, Thunderbirds Are Go!, Johnny Bravo and much more, will lead the ceremonial lighting.
