Sisters Janet and Paulinah Eboh-Sampson are proud to announce the official opening of their new business The Style Lodge in the Jewellery Quarter. The consultancy will open its door to customers from across the West Midlands, offering professional styling services with a difference to those who are faced with challenging life experiences.
The businesses originated from their 2017 #Fashion4ACause Campaign which was inspired by the experience of a childhood friend, who had undergone a kidney transplant; compelling the sisters to host a Charity Fashion Showcase raising awareness about donor shortages within the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Community. Following the success of the campaign the sisters undertook training with ISE Birmingham in order to set up their community interest company called Do-Nation UK Project CIC. The Style Lodge Consultancy is a trading entity of the Do-Nation UK Project, the name Do-Nation is a play on the word donation with emphasis on the words “Do” and “Nation”.
The sisters later teamed up with local stylist Moe Makaya to pilot their #Fashion4ACause Style Consultancy. Having dealt with alopecia hair loss herself, Moe was the perfect addition to the team and together the trio have continued to develop their unique brand of professional styling.
Janet Eboh-Sampson said: “We all go through life experiences that may knock our confidence or affect our self-esteem. Anything from the breakdown of a marriage, ill health, the loss of a loved one or even being a long term care provider can be quite challenging. We can sometimes lose who we are and lose our sense of identity. In setting up The Style Lodge Consultancy, we wanted to stay true to our #Fashion4ACause campaign ethos by empowering others through fashion”
To celebrate the official opening, The Style Lodge team will be hosting a special celebration event with a champagne reception on Saturday 5th October 2019. For more information visit their website www.stylelodge.co.uk
