Reading Time: 4 minutes
The shortlists for Insider’s Midlands Residential Property Awards 2022 can today be revealed after a record number of entries were received for the event.
The awards received 77 submissions across 15 categories, the largest in its seven-year history. These have been whittled down to a shortlist of 74, which can be seen below.
The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on 23 June at Eastside Rooms, Birmingham. A key figure in the sector will also be named Property Personality of the Year at the event.
Insider deputy editor Ian Griffin said the record participation highlighted the robustness of the sector in the region at a time of economic uncertainty. Ian said:
The Midlands has a huge shortage of housing, and these entries show that the property sector is working in a determined and innovative way to serve the market need. Our shortlist contains some fantastic examples of schemes which have overcome major challenges, provided great design and created successful public-private partnerships on their way to fruition.
He added:
The awards are a great opportunity to celebrate the crucial role the residential property sector is playing in attracting major global investment, world-renowned businesses and skilled staff.
While a large chunk of the entries are projects in major cities such as Birmingham and Nottingham, there are also schemes from right across the region, including Lichfield, Droitwich, Loughborough, Northamptonshire and Derbyshire.
There are also a number of first-time entries in the Housebuilder of the Year, Residential Property Consultancy of the Year and Social Housing categories.
