The JQ Beer Weekend was a new event last year – but it was such a hit that we brought it back for 2024- and it was bigger than ever!

This year we had 24 venues taking part, and the data indicates that the event brought almost 6000 extra drinkers to the area over the course of 3 days.

Many of these visitors were determined to earn their unique and limited supply Beer Weekend t-shirt by buying a drink in 6 or more venues.

Thanks to our 6 sponsors – The Red Lion, The Rose Villa Tavern, The Rolling Mill, The Wolf, The Barrel Store and Somewhere in Brum, we were able to order 1000 t-shirts this time – all of which were handed out to eager beer fans! Those who missed out were entered into a prize draw – thanks to The Red Lion, The Wolf, The Rectory, Indian Brewery and Somewhere in Brum for donating enough prizes for us to have 6 lucky winners!

We are already looking forward to the 2025 event, where Gary the Gull and all the Beer Weekend fun will be back!
