Starting in January 2019 The Hive at New Standard Works will be running themed monthly Saturday Sessions! Tickets are pre-bookable and give you access to adult creative workshops, evening entertainment as well as dining provided by the wonderful Hive Café & Bakery.

The Saturday Sessions will kick-off on 12 January centred around the theme of TASTE. Sample honey from Bee9 hives paired with freshly baked bread from the café, and learn about urban beekeeping.

The bee-theme continues with free tapestry bee stitching workshops by Tina Francis in the Maker’s Studio. Have a go at stitching your own tiny bee and add it to the next community exhibition. Connolly’s, the JQ’s own wine merchants, will be hosting a wine tasting experience. Tickets are £18/head and pre-booking for the tastings are highly advised.

Evening dinner will consist of a Tapas Menu from the Hive Café with a large variety of dishes delivering strong flavours. Dinner will be accompanied by a short film selection before and after the meal to get the conversation flowing. Tickets for dining must be booked by Wednesday 9 January.
