Let there be light!

Reading Time: 2 minutes

If you were out and about in the Jewellery Quarter yesterday evening, you may have noticed our Christmas lights are now on.

As part of the objectives from the Jewellery Quarter BID Prospectus, we aimed to bring more lights to more streets this year. This has been achieved thanks to contributions from the JQ BID and the Jewellery Quarter Marketing Initiative (JQMI).

This year there are 71 lights – 25 more than last year – which are a mix of refurbished and new, bespoke designs. We’ve got Christmas trees, stars and baubles across the Quarter, our new jewellery-themed designs in the main retail area and an anchor light proudly shines outside of The Assay Office on Newhall Street.

Christmas lights can be found on: Newhall Street, Ludgate Hill, Caroline Street, Summer Row, Fleet Street, Parade, Sandpits, Newhall Hill, Frederick Street, Vyse Street, Hockley Street, Hall Street and Warstone Lane.

Here are some examples of the new lights – we hope you like them! Tweet us your favourite @JQDTbirmingham.
