The JQBID took part in a Midlands wide initiative by Culture Central to engage with local artists and creatives.
Taking place on 21 st December 2020, the shortest day of the year, the campaign asked local organisations to commission 1 minute videos based on the prompt “It Gets Lighter From Here” and share them online. After a public call-out, artists Barbara Gibson and Marta Kochanek created a piece inspired by the Jewellery Quarter’s history and heritage which was commissioned by the JQBID.
