The Lord Clifden, a cherished pub in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, has reopened its doors after a period of closure. The venue, renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, eclectic street art, and commitment to quality food and drink, is welcoming patrons once again.
Located at 34 Great Hampton Street, The Lord Clifden has a storied history as a hub for art enthusiasts and pub-goers alike. Its closure in 2023 was met with disappointment from the local community. However, under new ownership, the pub has undergone renovations and is now set to reclaim its status as a central fixture in the Jewellery Quarter.
The reopening is scheduled for today (Thursday, 19th December), marking a significant milestone for the establishment and its patrons. The management has expressed enthusiasm about this new chapter, aiming to blend the pub’s rich heritage with contemporary offerings to cater to both long-time supporters and new visitors.
The pub has been given a refresh to add modern touches alongside honouring its classic features. Festive food is on the menu throughout the Christmas period with a plan to launch new dishes come January.
The GM Will, added, “Good food and beer is at the heart of everything we are going to try and do. The festive menu will kick us off in terms of food and then a new menu will come out in January and we’re also going to be looking for the best beers we can find, both from great local suppliers and the rest of the UK.”
