Jewellery Quarter-based brand experience agency, IE Brand, was awarded two Gold trophies at the Transform Awards Europe 2017 last week.
IE Brand, Warstone Lane, picked up two Gold trophies, one for ‘Best Visual Identity from the Education Sector’ for IE’s University of Reading Careers rebrand and a second for ‘Best Brand Architecture Solution’ for IE’s Cranfield University rebrand; the latter beating Ascot – the iconic British racecourse – into silver.
Founded in 1994, IE is a team of 25 consultants, researchers, designers and developers based in the historic Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham. Their clients include the University of Birmingham, CLIC Sargent, Teach First, Imperial College London, Career Ready, Round Table, NHS, Young Enterprise and Family Planning Association.
IE Brand’s top-level rebrand of Cranfield University delivered a new framework to rationalise and unify the university’s brands around eight industry facing themes including aerospace, energy and water.
“Our judges praised the partnership for taking on a huge challenge and executing the goal with aplomb, as well as the strong strategy and smooth implementation”, said Transform Awards Europe.
Similarly, with UK universities vying for graduate employability rankings, Reading commissioned IE Brand to help them cut through the noise of campus life by combining an arresting tone with whimsical illustrations.
Commenting on the wins, Ollie Leggett (MD and Brand Consultant at IE), said, “We’re over the moon to bring home two Golds. Hats off to IE’s immensely talented team, who harness the power of Brand and Digital to amplify the brands of our incredible Charity, Health and Education clients.”
