Eight Foot Grocer opens in the Jewellery Quarter

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Jewellery Quarter has welcomed new business, The Eight Foot Grocer, on Caroline Street this week. A former eight-foot-wide loading bay opened its doors to the public as a new green grocers on Friday.

There’s no prizes for guessing where owner, Chris James got his inspiration from when deciding on a business name. After working in restaurant management in London for the almost eight years, Chris has now set his sights on the Quarter.

He plans to fully embrace the area as photography from local artists will adorn the walls and daily bread deliveries will be received from local bakery, Peel and Stone.

As well as fresh fruit and vegetables, The Eight Foot Grocer will also stock a collection of jams, marmalades and breakfast and lunches for the busy workers, visitors and residents of the Quarter.

Make sure you follow The Eight Foot Grocer on Twitter @The8FootGrocer and give Chris a warm welcome to the area.
