Reading Time: 2 minutes

Parkinson’s UK is hosting its Secret Supper dining event in the Jewellery Quarter on Tuesday 26 April 2022.

Six restaurants will be involved in the Secret Supper, all situated around the city’s historic Jewellery Quarter. Guests will visit a different restaurant for each course, only finding out on the night where they will be dining.

The evening starts at 5pm at Saint Paul’s House, with a welcome drink sponsored by Sonny’s Jewellers and Faber Design. Tickets cost £37, which includes a welcome drink and a three-course meal and go on sale Monday 14 March.

This is the third time the charity is holding the fundraiser following the success of previous events in 2019 and 2021.

Barrie Smith, 64, from Birmingham, has been living with Parkinson’s for over 30 years. He has taken part in Parkinson’s UK’s Secret Supper twice before.

He said:

The Secret Supper is a brilliant event that raises much-needed funds for Parkinson’s research. I attended both of the previous events and they were brilliant.

This year promises to be bigger and better! Fabulous company and fantastic food at bargain prices – why not have a great night and help people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones maintain hope for the future and the cure we all need?

Parkinson’s is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world, and currently there is no cure. An estimated 145,000 people across the UK are living with Parkinson’s, including approximately 12,300 people in the West Midlands. There are over 40 potential symptoms, from tremor to pain and anxiety.

Parkinson’s UK is the largest charitable funder of Parkinson’s research in Europe. The money raised by Secret Supper will help the charity accelerating breakthroughs in research to develop better treatments and a cure for the condition.
