Things to do this November in the Jewellery Quarter
Reading Time: 4 minutes
We are in the final month of autumn and the Jewellery Quarter is packed full of things to do. There is the annual Christmas Light Switch on, a Christmas window advent trail, the LAST Artisan Market of the year and much more. It’s the perfect time to gather with friends and family and get into the festive mood. Carry on reading to find out what the Quarter has in store for you this November.
JQBID Christmas Light Switch On
This year the JQBID Christmas Light Switch On is taking place on Friday 15th November from 5PM – 7PM with an incredible fireworks display at 6PM. Expect over 100 jewellery themed Christmas lights to light up the Quarter and kick start the festive season, including the city’s largest lighting feature – an impressive 3m x 3m illuminated diamond ring – making it perfect for that Christmas selfie. There are also two 30 foot Christmas trees and 25 festive windows for you to admire.
There will also be live performances from the Dino Baptiste Boogie Woogie Trio and Elle-J Walters to set the festive mood as we count down to the grand switch-on – which will be done by a special guest! Enjoy delicious vegetarian and vegan Indian fusion dishes from Notty Bites, alongside nibbles and drinks from Lunchi, Urban and Rose Villa Tavern.
Christmas Window Advent Trail
Starting on the 22nd November, visit 25 different shop fronts by following the trail around the quarter. Each window you come across will have a beautiful Christmas display as well as a bespoke window vinyl featuring a JQ themed image. If you mark down each image correctly you will have the chance to win an incredible hamper packed full of amazing treats. Follow the QR code on the vinyl’s to enter or write them down if you use one of the worksheets.
