Construction workers at Balflour Beatty will be hard at work in the Jewellery Quarter this week preparing for a November completion of the Golden Square.

The exciting new landmark will be split into three different areas, the plaza, which will house benches, bike racks and retail units; the orchard, which will provide a new tree-lined path and the promenade that will give visitors access to shops, cafes and a new information point.

Excavation works, paving and kerbing works will continue on the plaza this week, as well as paving installations on the promenade. Step units and ACO drainage channels will also be installed this week.

Retail unit foundations have been installed and electrical fit outs will now commence, alongside cladding, ducting and glass seam installations.
