The Jewellery Quarter & The World Wars Exhibition

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Discover the stories of local Jewellery Quarter businesses and residents during World War I and II in our exhibition below, originally displayed in November 2019.

This year’s Remembrance Sunday and Poppy Day events will be quite different from normal. Rather than the live Rememberance Sunday events, and nation-wide fundraising efforts, this year will feature online services and donations. While there are still a few donation boxes around the JQ we encourage anyone who is interested to donate online and download a digital poppy, using the Royal British Legion website.

The exhibition below was first displayed in November 2019 and was on display in the JQ train station. Browse the images and text to learn more about the impact of the world wars on the area, and how both businesses and residents were affected. Click here to download the PDF version.
