Quarter Lifestyle event promotes JQ’s diverse designers

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The JQ BID’s first Quarter Lifestyle event was held at The School of Jewellery last week and, if feedback from businesses and visitors is anything to go by, it was a great success!

The event aimed to celebrate the skills and diversity of designers in the Quarter and promote the area’s retail offering to the people of Birmingham – many of whom may not have visited the Quarter before. The event proved that you don’t have to go to the city centre, or indeed London, for your jewellery, giftware, ceramics, furniture or vintage clothing, when it’s all here on your doorstep.

Displays from local businesses including Fei Liu, Kraft Cufflinks, Braderie Vintage, Fellows Auctioneers, St Paul’s Gallery, Ruffle & Moss, JDD Furniture, The Birmingham Assay Office and many more, were set up and fashion blogger Beth Goodrham was on hand to provide style advice and give visitors an insight into the range of jewellery items available in the area.

Here’s some photos from the event courtesy of TipTop Photography and Derek Matthews of Monteith Scott. If you have any extra photos from the event, please email them to laura@barquespr.co.uk.

The JQ BID hopes to organise a similar event in spring 2014 – more details will follow later this year.
