Love is in the air for the Jewellery Quarter, as local businesses Wedding Quarter and Quarter Workshop unite in the first JQ Fusions event of 2017.
On Wednesday 1st February, for one evening only, the wedding dress specialists at the Wedding Quarter will join with the Quarter Workshop in a match made in heaven, as the two businesses host the sixth JQ Fusions event, organised by the JQBID (Jewellery Quarter Business Improvement District).
Guests to this unique event will have an exclusive glimpse inside Quarter Workshop’s authentic goldsmithing and silversmithing studio, as well as a peek at Wedding Quarter’s range of signature gowns. With bubbles, cupcakes and snacks aplenty, guests will be able to chat with the experts about everything from designing their own rings to when the best time is to start shopping for that one-of-a-kind dress.
Speaking of the event, Kim Loynes, JQBID event manager, says “JQ Fusions is all about bringing the community together and showing everybody what these independent businesses have to offer. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we thought now would be an ideal time to showcase these two fantastic wedding businesses and get the community together.
“Our fusions events have been an enormous success, and we love seeing members of the community come down and find out more about the local businesses within the Quarter that they may not necessarily have known about before. The JQ has an enormous number of independent companies and we wanted to have an outlet to really champion them and give them their own stage.”

JQ Fusions enjoyed a successful first series in 2016 bringing together businesses such as Barbers with Bars, Hairdressers with Florists and a Brewery with an Art Gallery, all within Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
