The Challenge is the UK’s leading charity for building a more integrated society. We work on a local level to bring together people from all ages, ethnicities and walks of life, connecting communities and building trust.

In Birmingham we run two programmes, NCS and HeadStart.
NCS is a government-backed programme which brings together young people from diverse backgrounds, providing them with strong skills for life, work, and adulthood

​HeadStart gets young people volunteering in their local community so that they mix and meet with people from all walks of life. It inspires young people to volunteer by guaranteeing everyone who does so an interview for a part-time job.
