As Birmingham International Fashion Week came to a close on the weekend, the final catwalk of the season saw designers from the Jewellery Quarter take the lead and represent the area.
Kate Lewis and Gemma Perry from Livto, based on Warstone Lane were approached by two fashion designers to showcase their work on the models for the event.
The night kicked off with Nigerian designer Rad fashion, whose exotic clothes were completed by Livto’s raw, handmade bracelets and necklaces.
Kate Lewis, PR director of Livto said: “It was great to see Birmingham Council put on an event that recognises new and upcoming talent, both on a local and international level. We were thrilled when the designers got in touch and it was really rewarding to see our hard work pay off down the catwalk.”
Textures, a label based in Paris also featured Livto’s products. The two night event, located in the council house banqueting suite saw the catwalk show take place as well as an open showroom, a champagne reception, a networking event and an after party for the designers.
