Student Council members from Abbey College Birmingham visited Acorns Children’s Hospice last week to kick off the college’s fundraising efforts for the year.
The hospice that provides care for life limited and life threatened children has been selected as Abbey College Birmingham’s charity of the year. Students visited the college with donated toys and books, a cheque for £85 and £66 worth of ToysRUs vouchers.
Initial donations were made during a Student Council presentation that highlighted the importance of the charity. Students also hosted a talent contest, which brought together a variety of entertaining performances, to increase donations.
