Subsidised recycling scheme for BID Levy Payers
Since 2019, the JQBID has partnered with First Mile Recycling to increase recycling rates in the Jewellery Quarter, by offering a subsidised recycling scheme.
First Mile offers a wide range of services including dedicated toner, coffee grounds, food waste, and even coffee cup recycling.
During the first 14 months of the scheme, Jewellery Quarter businesses have recycled a total of 110,154 kg of waste.
