Formed in 1976, Fira has become one of the leading landscape design practices in the UK. Their team is built around talented and dedicated landscape architects who have a passion for design and the environment.

The company has been based in Birmingham since its foundation and has been involved in many of the City’s major urban developments in the past thirty-years. These include Midland Metro Line One, which runs through the heart of the Jewellery Quarter, linking Birmingham with Wolverhampton; and a BALI award winning townscape study of Brindley Place and the International Convention Centre. Fira is proud of the work that it does in Birmingham. It has designed improvements for several of the city’s parks and residential areas and continues to work on the regeneration of many of the areas local schools.

As an independent company they work in partnership with many of the world’s leading designers, developers, local authorities and private clients operating throughout the UK and overseas. Their portfolio reflects a wide range of expertise, encompassing the whole spectrum of the design process from large scale masterplanning to detailed design. Their experience covers healthcare, education, residential, civic and urban design together with environmental assessment and transportation projects.
