Volunteers needed for Jewellery Quarter Festival 2016!

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Are you friendly, outgoing and confident speaking to people? Do you want to be part of a vibrant new festival? Do you have a few hours you can spare on Saturday 23rd July?

Play your part in making the Jewellery Quarter the place to visit this summer. We are looking for a team of enthusiastic volunteers to help out at our second ever Jewellery Quarter Festival organised by the JQBID team on Saturday 23rd July. Building from the success of last year we have over 50 studios opening their doors as well as live acts, entertainment, food and drink on both Golden Square and St Paul’s Square. We need your help to offer a warm welcome to visitors to the Jewellery Quarter, give out maps and programmes, assist with directions and make sure the JQ Festival has a visible presence on the main routes into the Quarter.

You will be located at one of a few key outdoor points armed with information and literature. We will provide you with:

  • A JQ Festival T-shirt – to keep
  • A lunch voucher at a JQ Café
  • An umbrella for rain, and sun cream for shine!
  • Refreshments throughout your shift
  • ‘Out of pocket’ travel expenses (with receipt of travel/car park)
  • Great work experience while expanding your network with creatives and the JQ community.

Knowledge of the JQ is an advantage but not essential as you will be given the information you need to provide visitors in advance and on the day.

Please contact mat.lovell@jqdt.org if you are interested and for further information by 15th July 2016.
