Things to do this December in the Jewellery Quarter

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, it’s finally December and the Jewellery Quarter is still full of things to do leading up to Christmas Day. The JQBID Christmas window advent trail is still in full swing, Christmas workshops are undergo and “A Christmas Carol” is on for all to see at the theatre. It’s the perfect time to gather friends and family and get into the festive mood.
JQ Christmas Window Advent Trail
Starting on the 22nd November, visit 25 different shop fronts by following the trail around the quarter. Each window you come across will have a beautiful Christmas display as well as a bespoke window vinyl featuring a JQ themed image. If you mark down each image correctly you will have the chance to win an incredible hamper packed full of amazing treats. Follow the QR code on the vinyl’s to enter or write them down if you use one of the worksheets.

Christmas Decoration Workshop
1000 Trades are putting on some festive fun and crafting for you on Tuesday 3rd December. You’ll create your own unique hand-made Christmas decorations from non perishable materials that can be put up each year! To get you even more into the Christmas spirit there will also be Mulled wine and homemade mince pies available on the day! Book here.
Winter Family Arts Festival Fundraiser

Christmas Candle Painting
Choose from either a pillar candle or a pair of tapered candles to decorate in festive designs at this workshop hosted by In Bloom on Friday 6th December. All materials will be provided so you can be free to be as creative as possible! Refreshments will also be provided so you can indulge in a mug of warming mulled wine or Prosecco if the mood takes you (tea or coffee if it doesn’t!) plus festive treats. Book here.
All attendees will receive 10% off flowers, plants and gifts at the In Bloom studio so you can get some Christmas shopping ticked off your list too. They are also hosting Wreath Making workshops throughout December and a Christmas Bouquet workshop on Saturday 21st.
The Goodsyard Run Club Xmas Special
Don your festive running gear for this special Sunday social 5km from The Goodsyard in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter! Run of a Kind will be leading you on a 5K run around the JQ on Sunday 15th December. You’ll even learn something new about the area. It’s totally free and open to everyone however residents of the Goodsyard will get priority access, but you need to sign up here to secure your spot.
