The Great British Spring Clean Returns!

Roll up your sleeves and step out into the fresh air over your lunch-break!
The JQBID are inviting all Jewellery Quarter residents and businesses to join us for the Great British Spring Clean, a national campaign that encourages communities to clean up their neighbourhoods.
This year the event will take place on Friday 22nd March between 1 – 2 pm. We hope to beat last year’s record of 92 bags with the target this year of collecting 100 bags of rubbish within 1 hour.
All volunteers are asked to meet at The Golden Square, just outside the Big Peg, for a safety briefing and the handout of equipment including gloves, high-visibility vests, litter-pickers and bags. We’ll then set off for 45 minutes of litter picking around the neighbourhood in teams led by the JQBID staff members. Afterwards, we’ll then return to The Golden Square for complimentary refreshments kindly donated by Greggs and Co-op.
Weather appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes are recommended.
