This year for the first time there will be a Poppy Pop-Up shop in the Jewellery Quarter as part of the city-wide Birmingham Poppy Day Celebrations on Tuesday 6 November.
Staff and volunteers from the Royal British Legion will be in the glass booth in the Big Peg on the Golden Square from 8 am to 4 pm selling a variety of poppy items. This will help to raise much-needed funds to support and say thank you to the British Armed Forces. This year marks 100 years since the end of the First World War.
Volunteers will also be out and about in the Jewellery Quarter throughout the day collecting donations.
Please feel free to pop along on the day to make a contribution. If you are interested in volunteering and help raise donations, feel free to contact the Royal British Legion via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or visit the “Pop In” venue at 87 New Street Birmingham.
