JQ road update – Holland Street

The following information from Birmingham City Council relates to the upcoming changes to the flow of traffic on Holland Street in the Jewellery Quarter. Please note the restrictions are being put in place to support the construction work on the new University College Birmingham (UCB) development on George Street.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC

(T1819458) ORDER 2018

Notice is hereby given that Birmingham City Council has made an Order the effect of which prohibits any vehicle from proceeding along HOLLAND STREET. The temporary Order is required to allow construction works to be carried out on a site adjacent to the above road in safety. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be via George Street, Parade and Charlotte Street. These prohibitions shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

The Order will come into operation on 21st May 2018 and will remain in force for a period of EIGHTEEN MONTHS or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
