Fight and flight: examining war, conflict, and asylum

Join us for a thought-provoking evening looking at issues of war, conflict, and asylum.  First, #IR_Aesthetics –a collaborative group of academics- will use photography to explore the daily experiences of refugees navigating the Balkan Route(s) to argue for humanitarian and political action. Then, Dr Andrew Hammond will discuss the reasons why the war in Afghanistan is the longest in American – and Russian – history.
