The Jewellery Quarter Development Trust (JQDT) is supporting Birmingham Heritage Week by running a host of interactive events this month that celebrate the rich heritage of the area.
Moss House campus at University College Birmingham wins award as one of the best buildings in region. Moss House – University College Birmingham’s newest campus building in the Jewellery Quarter – has been recognised by the prestigious Royal Institute of British Architects. Described as “inventive and experimental”, the campus was one of just nine buildings in the West Midlands to win at the regional RIBA awards.
Hundreds of Birmingham’s buildings and spaces, many of which are usually closed to the public, will be opening their doors as part of this year’s Birmingham Heritage Week. The annual festival returns from 9 – 19 September 2021 revealing the city’s hidden stories and historical secrets.
A brand new community-led art installation has been unveiled in the Jewellery Quarter train station as part of the Jewellery Quarter Business Improvement District’s (JQBID) Adopt a Station project with West Midlands Railway.
