Small business success story Astella, a fine jewellery brand born in the heart of Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter, has achieved a glittering milestone by sponsoring two high-profile events at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2025.

Astella proudly sponsored Girl on Film Live, hosted by renowned film critic Anna Smith, who chose to wear the brand’s striking Zeus earrings for the occasion – a bold statement of contemporary elegance that captured attention among industry insiders and global media alike.

In a second groundbreaking moment for the brand, Astella also served as a sponsor of the celebrated Palm Dog Awards, the festival’s much-loved tribute to canine stars. For this unique event, Astella was commissioned to create a bespoke jewellery piece, marking the occasion with signature craftsmanship and creative flair.

“This is more than a sponsorship – it’s a dream come true,” said Sunny Pal, founder of Astella. “To see pieces handcrafted in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter being embraced on the international stage by influential figures in the film world is a moment of immense pride. It proves that small businesses can have a big impact.”

Astella’s Cannes debut marks a new chapter in the brand’s journey, with its distinctive, modern designs now resonating with a growing audience of discerning, high-profile clientele across the creative industries.
