JQDT seeks new Board Members

Reading Time: < 1 minute

After over two centuries of growth and change, the Jewellery Quarter is now embarking on a period of rapid development with the building of the Golden Square, refurbishment of previously unoccupied properties, the building of a new Assay Office, the arrival of new educational establishments, and the development of a Neighbourhood Planning Forum.

The Jewellery Quarter is rightly proud of being the home to the most highly regarded School Of Jewellery in Europe and the College of Food and Tourism, both of which attract a significant number of students from abroad. The Quarter houses a residential population of over 6,000 and a Business Improvement District has recently been established.

The Jewellery Quarter Development Trust (JQDT) is keen to attract four additional Directors to bring further diversity and experience to the Board and to help develop the Quarter as a destination to visit, and in which to live, work and learn.

Successful applicants will attend four board meetings a year, but will also be expected to contribute on a more regular basis to one of our standing Working Groups. Members of the Board must live or work in the Jewellery Quarter and have a commitment to the objectives of JDQT. We are particularly looking for individuals with experience in:

– Accountancy/banking

– IT skills

– Development

– Profile raising

Please note this is a voluntary position.
