The RBSA Gallery announces Spring Workshops
12th January, 2010 @ 3.55PMThe Royal Birmingham Society of Artists Spring Workshops are led by practising artists with extensive experience of teaching. Courses are either one, two or three days in length and cover a wide range of techniques: -
Beyond the Observations! – Monday 15th February

Fluidity in Watercolour – Tues 16th & Wed 17th February

Capture the stillness of a deep pool or the movement of ripples in this two day watercolour workshop.
Ancient Motifs in Contemporary Printmaking – Thurs 18th & Fri 19th February

Explore the creative possibilities of myths for printmaking, creating a constructed or drypoint printing plate.
Sumptuous Surfaces – Saturday 20th February

Landscape Interpretations – Monday 22nd February

Observations in Graphite – Tuesday 23rd February

Investigate composition using preparatory line studies and larger scale graphite drawings.
The Language of Abstraction – Wed 24th – Fri 26th February

Respond to the work of Sandra Blow by experimenting with the dynamics of abstraction using plaster, fabric and collage.
Three Dimensional Mixed Media – Saturday 27th February

Use wire, fabric and wax to develop and embellish three dimensional objects.
Places are limited to ten students per workshop and allocation takes place on a first come first served basis, subject to the receipt of full payment.
