Golden Square Update #15

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Golden Square is now starting to take shape and we can announce that all perimeter fencing is scheduled to be removed from the site on Friday 19th December giving access to all hard standing areas.

Lower 1 metre fencing will be maintained around the orchard section of the development and all soft landscaping areas while work towards completion continues. This month three new areas of work will be starting at the site; tree planting in the orchard; the Corten steel plates will be fitted to the main seam; and paving works in the area fronting Vyse Street.

In order to kick-start December’s development, Balfour Beatty construction workers will be hard at work as excavation and paving works continue on Warstone Lane. Concrete installations and granite will also be laid throughout the orchard section to achieve an attractive and sturdy finish to the area.

ACO drainage channels will also be fitted as well as the installation of light seams and street furniture. Step units have now been installed and the finishing details will be completed this week.
