First Quarterly Makers Market celebrates creatives in Jewellery Quarter

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Quartermasters is a new quarterly market for the Jewellery Quarter celebrating local talent at the community embedded 1000 Trades bar on Frederick Street. The first Market will take place 11am – 5pm Saturday 12th November.

Wanting to encourage people to shop local, and handmade we’re bringing micro businesses to life in this first of a new quarterly market.

From leather to traditional jewellery making, crochet and contemporary embroidery, we’re bringing local trades to life at 1000 Trades. A small roster of curated makers and artisans will be enabling local people to buy direct and in person, discovering some of the people behind the closed doors of the Jewellery Quarter and beyond.

Makers include:

Frilly Industries – a small business Saturday 100 company

Sparrow and Wolf – a local homewares designer

Gosia Weber – leather goods with nature-inspired motifs

Sparklymouse – contemporary embroiderer

Tamsen Poole Ceramics – bringing ceramic jewellery and decorations

This Geek Love – pop culture crochet accessories

B18 Leather – hand painted leather goods

Rachel Whitehead Jewellery – traditional gold and silversmith

The Emma Press – a local independent small press book publisher
