Children’s birthday packages and half term fun

The Wonderful World of Trains and Planes will be inspiring budding train drivers and railway enthusiasts this February half-term. A new addition to the model railway layouts, Little Train Drivers World, will allow children to take the controls and test their skills.
The new layout was originally displayed at the well-loved HQ of model train brand, Hornby. The four-lane track will be launched at Wonderful World of Trains and Planes on Saturday 14th February and will also become part of the children’s birthday party packages.
The family-friendly attraction, located just off St Paul’s Square, will offer each party the exclusive use of its facilities and attractions for two hours, which will include access to all the detailed model train layouts. This will include a journey from the 1890s to modern day through the railways. The world’s most famous locations, such as Canada, Germany and China, will all be represented in miniature form.
Children will also test their skills against their friends by controlling a racecar on a four-lane track. Older children, aged from 10 to 14 years, will also have the opportunity to take flight and experience breath-taking heights with an impressive flight simulator. What could be more exciting than flying a Cessna over Las Vegas or landing a seaplane on the ocean?
There’s even a model shop and a cafe for parents to either explore or relax in while children are busy racing their friends! There is a minimum of 10 children per party. Prices range from £14 – £16 per child depending on their age. A cold buffet with soft drinks is included in the price.
