The handcrafts and painting produced by Ranbir are a captivating image of Art from the East, significant of horizons depicting distilled heritage of the past and reflecting fascinating techniques of the modern world. The delicate paintings with skilful designs create a vision of contemplation and the works of Art attempted by her display the depth of originality combined with imaginative alternatives and revolutionary instincts.

In 1821, the Birmingham Society of Artists was formed, whose objective was to establish a museum for works of art, provide facilities for students, hold public exhibitions and extend art education in the city of Birmingham. In 1868 Queen Victoria granted the Society Royal status, and it has held annual exhibitions with minor interruptions during the war years ever since.

The Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (RBSA) is an artist-led charity, which supports artists and promotes engagement with the visual arts through a range of inclusive activities, including exhibitions, workshops, demonstrations and other events.

The RBSA Gallery has a changing programme of exhibitions on two floors of gallery space that includes four ‘open’ exhibitions where artists can submit work for selection. The ground floor has space for solo shows as well as a Craft Gallery, which has established a reputation as the place to find exciting and unique jewellery.

Since 1987 Artfull Expression has provided a showcase for contemporary designer-makers of jewellery in silver and other materials.

Although the emphasis is on jewellery we also sell clocks, mirrors, prints, paintings, small sculptures (in bronze and in ceramics) glassware, ceramics and greeting cards.

Several designer maker jewellers have workshops elsewhere in the building. Among them are Michele White, Anna de Ville, Lora Leedham, Barbara Quinsey, Pat Lambert and Bruce McKinnon, who also provides a repairs and engraving service.

We believe this is the pioneer community of designer makers in Birmingham to be associated with a gallery in this way.

In addition we display the work of a large range of designer makers from the West Midlands and throughout the country.

We are at 23-24 Warstone Lane, in a part of a listed building of 1905, which was once a factory.
