Public Art
The Jewellery Quarter Gateways
These are situated at ‘Gateway’ entrances into the Quarter and are public art sculptures located on lighting columns. Designed by Birmingham artist Anuradha Patel, these coloured steel structures were made by a local Hockley firm, Form Fabrications (B’ham) Ltd.
They are located at:
• Junction of Vyse Street and Great Hampton Street – ‘With Love From’ relates to jewellery used as a gift for celebration.
•Junction of Hall Street and Great Hampton Street – ‘Origins Of’ relates to the natural materials used for making jewellery.
•Junction of Newhall Street and Lionel Street – ‘Made In’ relates to the skills and tools needed in the making of jewellery.

Walking the Pavement Trails
Many of the secrets of the Quarter can be unlocked by walking the areas famous pavement trails in Newhall Street and Graham Street (the Findings Trail) and Newhall Hill and Frederick Street (the Charm Bracelet Trail).

Prince of Wales Gates
Located a the Jewellery Business Centre, at the corner of Spencer Street and Hockley Street, once owned by the Prince of Wales, these ornamental gates were ‘sculpted’ by Michael Johnson and represent the contemporary jeweller’s art.
